Since 1888, The Salvation Army of Decatur has provided food and clothing to the less fortunate.  Our services and programs address the needs of the homeless and needy in the area, as well as senior citizens, families, children and disaster victims.

These programs include:

Senior Programs - Weekly senior activities; Monthly Senior Programs and/or dinners; Summer recreational camp and visits to those in the nursing homes or the hospital.
Social Services - Homeless prevention programs; Emergency financial rent & utility assistance; Men's Shelter-including meals, counseling and educational programs; Food pantry; Clothing & Prescription Assistance; Educational and life skill programs and referrals.
Children & Youth Programs - Youth character building programs; Weekly education troop activities for boys and girls; Summer residential campaing programs; Coats for Kids Project
Disaster Victims -  Food and drink for disaster victims; Counseling services for victims; Food baskets for disaster victims; Food, drink and counseling for First Respnders.
