Early Risers

The Salvation Army’s iconic red kettles are hitting the streets on Friday, Nov. 7 and we’re looking for enthusiastic early-risers to help ring in the start of the 2014 Red Kettle season!

Join us at 5:45 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 7 in Cadillac Square and we’ll supply the bells (and the hot chocolate!) for the first official bell ring of the season.

The Salvation Army will put the finishing touches on the world’s tallest red kettle at that time.

The giant red kettle, sponsored by Quicken Loans, is approximately 56 feet tall and 24 feet wide. The kettle’s 25,000 red LEDs will be officially set downtown aglow during The Salvation Army’s 2014 Red Kettle Campaign Kick-off on Friday, Nov. 21.
