Dec 13, 2014 | by Dave Hudgens

The Salvation Army Bed & Bread Club officially unveiled a brand new Ford truck to help provide more than 5,000 meals daily to hungry people throughout Detroit. The vehicle joined the Bed & Bread fleet last month, serving sandwiches, fruit, beverages, soups and snacks to men, women and children in Detroit’s most depressed neighborhoods. Ford Motor Company pledged the brand new truck, along with $50,000 toward the program, during the 2014 Bed & Bread Club Radiothon held last February. In addition, Marathon Petroleum Corporation is providing a year of free gasoline for the new vehicle.

Thank you so much to our friends at Ford Motor Company and Marathon Petroleum Corporation for their generous support which helps Detroiters in need everyday of the year stay fed.
