When disaster strikes, The Salvation Army is often among the first on the scene.

After the Unspeakable, We Speak Hope.

Disasters come in, both natural and man-made forms. Each year, The Salvation Army serves 1—2 million Americans in dozens of disaster response efforts nationwide. And when disaster strikes, The Salvation Army is often among the first on the scene. Our trained personnel are always available to meet emergencies by providing food, shelter, clothing and spiritual comfort. In disaster relief operation, The Salvation Army's first aim is to meet the basic needs of those affected – both survivors and first responders.

Help Survivors and Victims of Hurricane Harvey, Irma, and Maria

The effects of Hurricane Harvey, Irma, and Maria are felt as rescue and evacuation operations are still ongoing. The Salvation Army has been in the Gulf Coast, Florida, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Island since the beginning, providing much needed help to those whose lives have been devastated.

The Salvation Army’s network of staff and volunteers will remain in communities impacted by these terrible storms, supporting long-term disaster recovery efforts and providing ongoing assistance to those in need.

You can get involved today by making a gift to The Salvation Army. The Salvation Army does not place an administrative fee on disaster donations.  If a donor gives to Hurricane Relief Efforts (and designates the gift to that disaster) 100 percent of the gift will be used in support of that event.  It may be used to provide food and drinks to survivors, cleaning supplies and other essential commodities, direct financial aid to those affected, or to support disaster relief workers serving in the area.
