For many children, setting up a lemonade stand is the highlight of their summer. Even more exciting than making the mix of lemons and sugar, was counting the profits and heading out to buy the toy of their dreams. We have come across a group of children who instead will spend those well-earned profits helping others.

Third graders at Bishop Walker School for Boys are generously taking it upon themselves to raise money for The Salvation Army’s efforts in Oklahoma by selling lemonade.

Originally, the purpose of their fundraiser was to purchase kites for themselves, but once they got word of the tragedy in Oklahoma, they changed their plan and decided to raise the money for those affected by the tornado.

Thank you, Bishop Walker School for Boys, for helping The Salvation Army support the victims in Oklahoma and for showing that every person can make a difference in the world.
