The Salvation Army Responds to Fatal Industrial Accident in Omaha
A fatal industrial accident took place at the International Nutrition plant in Omaha, NE Monday morning, leaving at least two dead and several others critically injured.
The Salvation Army has been responding to the incident since 12:00 P.M yesterday. The Army’s emergency disaster services (EDS) was called in by the Omaha Fire Department soon after the accident took place and immediately began providing relief and respite to first responders and plant workers.
Today, Salvation Army volunteers will serve lunch to first responders and others on the scene.
The Salvation Army will continue to help meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of both the victims and the rescue workers as needed.
100% of contributions made to The Salvation Army’s disaster relief fund will go directly to assist those in need.
