Partners in Doing the Most Good

The Salvation Army has given hope to countless people throughout the nation.
But it never does it alone.

Volunteer

At The Salvation Army, we can only do so much good on our own. We heavily rely on our amazing volunteers to help us in Doing The Most Good in the Washtenaw County area.

If you'd like to help, here are a few opportunities to look in to:

Bell Ringer
The holiday season is when we have our Red Kettle campaign, which is our biggest fundraising effort of the year. Volunteer to ring a bell at one of our kettle locations by visiting registertoring.com.  Locations manned by volunteers always bring in the most money!

Food Pantry
We need volunteers to help with our food pantry.

Facilities Maintenance
We need volunteers to help with maintenance and special projects.

Special Events
We need volunteers to help with our seasonal events and activities.

1. Registration on our online database (click here)

2. Background check

3. Safe from Harm training (3 hours)

Community Service (court ordered):

We only have community service opportunities in facilities management (building upkeep), Monday thru Friday from 9am-4pm. If you need after hours or weekend, please contact one of our Thrift Stores

School-aged workers:

Due to safety and oversite standards we require all underage volunteers to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
