Red Shield Rides With a grant from Mercy Medical Center North Iowa, we are able to provide bus tickets for those who meet income guidelines to ride to and from medical appointments using either the Mason City Transit or Region 2 Transit.
Emergency Assistance In emergency situations, we may be able to assist with the following:
Medical Loan Closet We have a limited supply of medical equipment that are available to people in need.
Stepping Up Work Boot Program We can help people who are starting new jobs that require special clothing to start, ie. Steel toe boots, nursing shoes, etc.
Back To School Every August, we hold our annual Back To School program where we give children from preschool through high school a new backpack full of supplies.
Summer Cooling With a doctors referral, we can provide those with a medical condition warranting the need for air conditioning a loan of a window unit for the summer months. We also have some fans that we can loan out to those in need.
Adult Day Health Center The Salvation Army Adult Day Health Center is a safe and relaxing place where people may come to enjoy socialization and activities during the daytime in a supervised setting. The Center is designed to meet the needs of adults (age 18 and older) who are limited in their ability to function independently and in need of assistance.
Blast Zone We offer an after school program for grades K-4 that focuses on homework, fun activities and spiritual growth.
Worship Services We have a blended worship service that includes elements of both traditional and contemporary styles. It is family friendly, and all ages are welcome.
