The Salvation Army is Building Hope....and you can help! Your donation today will go towards the replacement of the aging, 110-year-old building on 36th & Cuming with "Renaissance Village," a program-centric facility for transitional housing. Because the city of Omaha requires sprinkler systems throughout residential buildings taller than six stories, this center has been "red tagged" by the city and action must be taken. The cost of bringing the Lied Renaissance Center into compliance would greatly exceed the cost of razing it and rebuilding on the site. Rebuilding this outdated facility would also reduce the Center's average annual facility maintenance and utility costs of $1.5 million by an estimated $650,000 annually.
