New Officers at WMNI Divisional Headquarters

We would like to take the opportunity to introduce you to new officers who have joined the leadership team at Divisional Headquarters.

Major Jose Gonzalez, Divisional Secretary

Major Gonzalez comes to us from Territorial Headquarters in Hoffman Estates, IL. Where he served as the director of the Multicultural Ministries Department. In this role he facilitated the integration of Salvation Army Ministry into the many and varied cultures represented within the Central Territory. Major Jose brings with him many years serving as a corps officer, as well as experience in human resources and organizational management. In his role as Divisional Secretary he will serve as second in command of the WMNI Division. He will also give leadership to the Human Resources Department, Emergency Disaster Services, Men’s Ministry, and intercultural outreach.

Major Janelle Gonzalez, Divisional Program Officer

Major Janelle Gonzalez also comes to us from Territorial Headquarters where she was stationed in the Women’s Ministry Department with responsibilities for multicultural outreach. She has served as a corps officer as well. In her role as program officer she will oversee the Community Care Ministry, Moral and Ethical Issues, and statistical reporting. She will also offer support to Women’s Ministry and other programs within the division and assist with intercultural outreach. 

Captain Elizabeth (Betsy) Clark, Divisional Youth and Candidate’s Secretary

Captain Clark comes to us from St. Charles, IL where she served as the corps offer/pastor of the local corps community center. Captain Betsy was born and raised in WMNI and entered the College for Officer Training from the Kalamazoo Corps. In her new role as Youth Secretary she will give leadership to all aspects of youth ministry within the division. This includes development and supervision of the summer camps held at Little Pine Island Camp.  As the Candidate’s Secretary, Captain Betsy is responsible for facilitating the recruiting, application and acceptance process for those who are candidates to become Salvation Army Officers.
