The Salvation Army has changed lives and given hope to countless people throughout the nation. But we never do it alone.
Start Volunteering
Help #dothemostgood here in Champaign County by volunteering with The Salvation Army!
The Salvation Army relies heavily on the work of volunteers. You broaden our range of effectiveness by bringing ideas and and fresh approaches. Volunteer feedback leads to enhanced programs and can even begin new service offerings. Volunteers are also natural liaisons with the community.
There are many ways to get involved:

Volunteer Training:
Regular Volunteers: We offer a monthly Safe From Harm training class for all regular volunteers at The Red Shield Center. This is only necessary for volunteers who help out regularly, (more than three times in a year), not including seasonal Bell Ringers. To sign up for Safe from Harm training, please email Bill Pierce.
Emergency Disaster Response Volunteers: We offer a local EDS training quarterly for those who wish to be notified when emergency strikes. Dates are announced on our website & Social Media Page once determined.
