"Hungry" is no way to spend childhood

Every day The Salvation Army helps cure hunger by providing nutritious meals to neighbors in need.

Here in Indiana, one out of six children face food insecurity.

The Salvation Army works to ensure that every member of our community has the food they need to thrive. If you face hunger, we want you to know that you are not alone.

How we help cure hunger

The Salvation Army of Elkhart, IN serves a three county area in the northern Indianna area.  We service portions of Elkhart County (Baugo, Cleveland, Concord, Middlebury, Osolo, Washington and York Townships), LaGrange County and Steuben County.  Our services may vary depending on which part of our service area an individual is in, but we are glad to use modern technology to service those in need living in our outlying areas.  Please call our office for questions about what services are offered in your community by The Salvation Army.

Each weekday morning, we serve a free community breakfast and we recently began a "Mobile Manna" program, delivering fresh food to home bound seniors who qualify.

Food Pantry

Our Food Pantry is available to those in need of supplemental pantry items. It offers a large selection of both perishable and non-perishable items. In order to receive Food Pantry assistance, one must have: Indiana ID, Social Security Cards for everyone in the household, food stamps print out, and proof of all income for everyone in the household.
