Salvation Army Day at the Ballpark
The Salvation Army of Elkhart, in partnership with the Elkhart County Miracle baseball team, announced that the home game scheduled for Sunday, July 14 at 2:00 pm will be designated “Salvation Army Day” in recognition of the international organization’s work done locally to assist community members in need.
This special game will include a variety of special activities spotlighting The Salvation Army of Elkhart. The Salvation Army will have its mobile canteen on site. They will be giving away souvenirs to the first 100 fans as well as a special prize to the selected “Fan of the Game”. Fans who bring a donation of a non-perishable food item or a used pair of sneakers will receive a free item at the concession stand. The iconic Red Kettle will be set up with bell ringers on hand to receive donations. A Salvation Army representative will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
