Senior Care Days Coming to Elkhart
The Salvation Army of Elkhart is hosting two upcoming Senior Care Days this July offering free personal care services to Elkhart community senior citizens. The Senior Care Days will be on July 5 and July 12 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at The Salvation Army Corps Community Center, located at 300 North Main Street in Elkhart.
The Senior Care Days are open to all seniors age 55 and older and are free to the public. On July 5 staff from Beacon Health will be on hand offering health resources, blood pressure checks and COVID vaccines at no cost. On July 12 physical therapists from Woodland Manor will be teaching stretching techniques to increase range of motion and reduce pain. They will also be available to answer questions.
A small lunch and snacks will be provided at no cost on each day. There will also be games to play and other entertainment options while waiting to be served.
Appointments are available and will take precedence, though walk-ins are welcome and will be served on a first come, first served basis.
