The Salvation Army provides spiritual services to anyone God brings across our path.
The Salvation Army is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Our message is based on the Bible, our ministry is motivated by the love of God, and our mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ as we meet human needs in His name without discrimination. Every program we offer is rooted in our passion to serve God by serving the lost, the vulnerable, the needy, the poor, the hurting, the helpless and the hopeless.
"While Women weep, as they do now, I'll fight; while children go hungry, as they do now I'll fight; while men go to prison, in and out, in and out, as they do now, I'll fight; while there is a poor lost girl upon the streets, while there remains one dark soul without the light of God, I'll fight, I'll fight to the very end!" -- William Booth, Salvation Army Founder.
We're not your typical church, our focus is simple: Saving souls. Armed with compassion, grace, mercy, and the redemptive power of Jesus Christ, we are equipping people with the necessary tools to combat their personal battles. With a relaxed and accepting atmosphere, we meet people where they are; regardless of their past or present circumstances. Come as you are; we?ll be there every step of the way.
Our Sunday Morning worship service begins at 11:00. Typically our brass band will play preliminary music, accompany the congregation in singing hymns, and sometimes play special music. Our worship band is also an integral part of morning worship as they lead us through songs of praise and prayer time. The Corps Officer or guest preacher brings us the morning message to encourage us in our walk with Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Subjects vary, but focus on winning the heart to Jesus Christ and walking with Him in Holiness and Service.
Sunday school begins at 9:30 as a joint congregation in the chapel before we split into individual classes. Our worship band leads us through some songs for all ages. A short devotional, sword drills, and missionary march are some of the morning highlights.
You may contact the church office at 454-1459 for a list of Sunday school classes available.
