At The Salvation Army we always work to support and encourage families. Families need help more than ever and we stand ready to encourage and equip, now and for the future. We offer assistance to keep families in their homes, warm and fed. We offer programs to enrich lives and offer the hope of knowing: we're in this together.
How we help equip families
We offer a variety of services and programs to help families do more than survive. Our goal is to help families THRIVE!

Financial/Emergency Assistance
We offer assistance with utilities, rent, food and more. Call (616) 392-4461 or email: wmiholland @usc.salvationarmy.org to make an appointment with one of our Case Specialists to learn more about how we may be able to assist your family.
Seasonal Assistance (minimal paperwork required)
Families with school-aged children can sign up to receive school supplies. Watch for more information about school supplies in July 2023.
Christmas Assistance

Pathway of Hope
Through our Pathway of Hope program, families work with our Case Specialists on goals to help them beyond stability, to security. Whether your goals include paying off debt, continued training or education, gaining skills for a higher paying job or accessing other resources for your family, we want to help you achieve them and more! Spiritual Support
We have a pastoral care team who would love to speak with you and pray for your family. Whether you want an Army lifting you in prayer or you would like ongoing spiritual guidance, we stand ready to support you.
