CHRISTMAS IN JULY - BECAUSE OUR NEIGHBORS NEED HELP YEAR ROUND

JULY 11, 2022, Northern, MI- The Salvation Army of Petoskey raised $7,014 during the 2022 Christmas in July Campaign which took place on Saturday, July 2nd thanks to many community partners, generous neighbors and amazing volunteers like the Rotary Club of Little Traverse Bay Sunset, Little Traverse Bay Kiwanis, Elk Rapids Rotary Club, and Central Lake Lions Club. We are very blessed to have the support of local service clubs and individuals who we could not be successful without.

2022 makes the 2nd year that The Elk Rapids Rotary Club went above and beyond to ring the bell for two days instead of one- again demonstrating the increased need for support for those who are suffering from set-backs caused by the pandemic. Thank you Elk Rapids Rotary for having such compassion for our neighbors in need and being amazing role models in our community!

Envoy, Greg Irwin says “All money given this year is very appreciated as we are on the threshold of expanding programs and services to enable us to continue meeting the steadily rising needs in our community. Thank you businesses owners and managers who graciously allow us the opportunity to ring at your location and thank you to the many caring citizens who reached into their own pockets to put money in the kettle for others in need”.

If you missed the Red Kettles on July 2nd, it’s still not too late to give. While the kettles at Christmas time and Christmas in July are an essential part of our annual fundraising, they cover only 25% of the services we provide local folks each year.
