Celebrating National Salvation Army in Porter County

Event Information

The Salvation Army of Porter County will be celebrating National Salvation Army with a public open house on Tuesday, May 13 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.  The corps is offering light refreshments and tours of their building, located at 799 Capitol Road in South Haven, as well as the opportunity to see its Food Pantry in action. 

Last year, The Salvation Army of Porter County provided a variety of vital social services to the community while offering programs to engage residents of all ages. The emergency assistance program, food pantry, and Pathway of Hope program give hope to struggling Porter County households. In 2024, more than 46,000 meals were provided by The Salvation Army to help combat food insecurity in the county.
 
Visitors to the corps on May 13 will get a first-hand look at how The Salvation Army operates and the impact it has on our community.  Captain Prichard and his team want to thank everyone who supports The Salvation Army, including volunteers, donors, and community partners.
