We Give Families Their Loved Ones Back.

Our free programs provide the tools to treat the symptoms and the root causes of alcohol and drug dependence.

The Center for Disease Control estimates that every year more than 100 people die and more than 6,700 people visit the emergency room for treatment due to drug use.

That's 6,700 families - with moms, dads, and kids - disrupted by the effects of addiction.
The Salvation Army provides treatment and rehabilitation for men and women battling substance abuse.

"If I hadn't landed here with The Salvation Army, I don't know what would have happened to me."

The Salvation Army?s substance abuse treatment programs give clients the gift of time to address their addictions and plan for a life of sobriety.

How we help combat addiction in our community:

The Salvation Army provides treatment and rehabilitation for men and women battling substance abuse. These programs restore an individual's confidence and self-esteem through work, therapy, counseling, recreation and training. Once clients complete treatment, they are often reunited with their families and return to their communities as contributing members of society.

Harbor Light
The Harbor Light program at The Salvation Army Freedom Center is an intense, inpatient substance abuse treatment program. The program - one of the most respected in the country - also provides transitional services and employment training to help clients overcome their addiction and successfully transition back into their communities.

Adult Rehabilitation Centers
The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers provide work-based therapy for substance abuse and support groups using the AA model, and spiritual counseling and education for a minimum of six months. Clients live onsite and work in Salvation Army Family Stores and other areas, while participating in a full range of treatment programs.
