Hunger Is the Product of Poverty

More than 49 percent of children in Boone County schools qualify for free and reduced lunches.

We work to ensure that whether school is in session or on break, both kids and their families know where they'll find their next meal.

We Nourish Bodies and Spirits

We welcome anyone in need who walks through our doors, including the homeless, people down on their luck and in need of a little extra help, and families struggling to feed their growing children. Our food nourishes the bodies, and our compassion nourishes the spirits of those we serve.

How We Help Cure Hunger

Food Pantry
Our food pantry is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Individuals and families are able to visit the food pantry every 30 days.

Friday Food Friends
We partner with First Presbyterian Church and the RSVP 55+ Volunteer Program to provide more than 100 elementary school children from seven Boone County schools with backpacks full of food on Fridays to sustain them over the weekends when meals aren't as readily available. Backpacks contain breakfast and main meals as well as snacks and beverages.

The number of children served by Friday Food Friends has increased each year since the program was launched in 2014.
