The Salvation Army of Brown County's Student Ministry
At The Salvation Army of Brown County, the Student Ministry, known as 4Twelve, serves dozens of 6th to 12th graders every week. Each Thursday evening, the students gather for an enriching and supportive experience. The evening includes a Bible story, games, crafts, chill time with friends in a safe environment, and a nutritious meal.
One particular student's journey with 4Twelve highlights the profound impact of the ministry. Initially, this student began attending because he knew he could count on having dinner at least one night of the week. However, as he continued to participate, he discovered much more than just a meal.
At 4Twelve, he found a community where he felt accepted and valued. The engaging Bible stories and activities provided not only entertainment but also valuable life lessons and spiritual growth. The games and crafts allowed him to express creativity and develop new skills. Most importantly, the chill time with friends in a safe and welcoming environment gave him a sense of belonging and security.
Week after week, the student returned to 4Twelve, not just for the meal but for the camaraderie, the support, and the love he experienced. His story is a testament to the holistic impact of the Student Ministry at The Salvation Army of Brown County. It shows how meeting a basic need can open the door to deeper connections, personal growth, and a brighter future for the youth in the community.
