Ace Hardware Fan Drive

As temperatures begin to rise, Great Lakes Ace Hardware and The Salvation Army are once again joining forces to bring summer relief to those in need through their annual Fan Drive. The campaign runs May 19 through June 7 and aims to provide new box fans to help individuals and families stay cool during the hot summer months.

Customers can support the effort by rounding up their purchases at all five Indianapolis Great Lakes Ace Hardware stores. All funds collected will go directly toward purchasing fans for distribution by local Salvation Army commands.

Last year, Great Lakes Ace customers in Indianapolis donated more than $4,685, resulting in 241 box fans given to the local Salvation Army for distribution to local citizens.

“From the beginning, the Fan Drive has made a tangible difference in the lives of people across the country,” said Joe Jeffries, president and CEO of Ace Retail Holdings (parent company of Great Lakes Ace Hardware). “Our customers' generosity continues to inspire us, and we’re proud to help provide relief to those who need it most. Giving back is part of who we are.”

"Something as simple as a fan can mean everything to someone facing extreme summer heat. Thanks to our partnership with Great Lakes Ace Hardware, we're able to provide immediate, tangible help to neighbors in need," said Commissioner Merle Heatwole, national commander of The Salvation Army.

Donations are accepted at all five Great Lakes Ace Hardware-owned stores in Indianapolis. Every dollar raised stays in the local community, ensuring help reaches those who need it most — right where they live. Those wishing to give online can visit westlakehardware.com/fan-drive
