Coats For Kids

Registration & Distribution:

Parents & caregivers can register their children for Coats For Kids starting September 2nd! Children up to 18 years old (if they are currently in high school) are eligible for Coats For Kids. 

Distribution of Coats For Kids is set for November 8th, from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Indiana State Fairgrounds - Blue Ribbon Pavilion. Children will be able to shop for a coat, hat and gloves. Children can also try on any coat to make sure it's the perfect size. We understand children may have sporting events, sick or can't make it to distribution. We ask that parents/caregivers know the size of coat for their children so they can select the correct coat on behalf of their children.

Donate to Coats For Kids: 

Starting September 13th, you can donate your gently used coat at any Classic Cleaners location. All Classic Cleaners will have a Salvation Army collection bin. You can drop your coats in the bin without having to go to the front desk. Find your nearest Classic Cleaners locations here.

Don't have coat to donate but want to support Coats For Kids? You can donate $25 to our program. That allows us to go buy new coats and shop for sizes we need for inventory.

Volunteering:

We need volunteers before and during our Coats For Kids event. As coats are donated, we need volunteers to help us sort coats, set-up our Coat Shop at the Indiana State Fairgrounds and numerous jobs on distribution day from inventory to shopping with families.
