BACK-TO-SCHOOL DRIVE 2022

AUGUST 5TH - AUGUST 7TH

Donate supplies to children in need or join us as a volunteer at any Walmart store in Champaign County for our annual Back-to-School Donation Drive, to benefit the local children and teachers.

The back-to-school season can place a tremendous burden on families, especially for those parents hit hard by inflation, making them choose between paying rent, buying food, or purchasing school supplies for their children.

This is THE BEST time to buy school supplies per 

Senate Bill 157

which lowers the tax rate on school supplies in Illinois

from 6.25% to 1.25%

for only 10 days starting Aug. 5th.

• Shoppers can purchase supplies and drop off in the collection bin at the front of the store.
• All donations collected in Champaign County will be distributed to local families to ensure more kids will enter the school year prepared to succeed.
