Council Bluffs Corps Expands Flood-Relief Food Service in Hamburg, Iowa

Apr 12, 2019

The Salvation Army Council Bluffs Corps expanded its ongoing flood-relief food-service efforts in Hamburg, Iowa, on Friday, April 12.

The Corps team has already been serving lunch to people in the flood-impacted southwest Iowa community for the last two weeks; now, they’ve been called to expand their work to include serving dinner.

This change will see as many as 500 meals per day served by Salvation Army representatives in Hamburg.

Salvation Army canteens (mobile kitchens) staffed by officers, staff and volunteers will be bringing these meals to Hamburg.
