Sal's Closet Closing

May 24, 2021

Sal's Closet has been a valuable resource in the Vermilion County communities for the past nine years. By offering a place for local individuals or families to receive clothing at no cost, regardless of circumstance, Sal's Closet has impacted countless of our neighbors in need. This impact is what makes the official announcement of its closing very difficult. The Salvation Army is sad to see this service end, but promises to continue serving the greatest need through our mission's many other ministries.

To mark the closing of Sal's Closet, there will be a free clothing giveaway on May 27th 2021 from 9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

This giveaway will be open for anyone to stop by at 855 E. Fairchild St. and clothing will be distributed on a 'first-come, first-serve' basis. The giveaway will also be limited to the inventory within Sal's Closet. After the current inventory is distributed, the operations of Sal's Closet will officially come to a close. If you have any questions regarding this event, please Contact Us at 217-442-5911!

The Salvation Army thanks everyone who has supported Sal's Closet over the past nine years. We are blessed to have been able to meet those in need of clothing thanks to the generosity of our local supporters like you. Our mission will continue because of support like this and together we will work to Fight For Good in Danville.
