It’s tempting, especially in our consumer-driven culture, to try to accumulate wealth and power in order to achieve security and stability in our lives. But the truth is, these “earthly” pursuits ultimately offer only a false security and stability. When we root ourselves in Christ’s love, on the other hand, we find rock-solid stability, even as we weather the storms of life.
