Events

The Salvation Army is collaborating with Wal-mart on a nationwide Toy Drive that is set for Saturday, November 9. It will be held at Walmart stores around America—including 4 here in the Des Plaines area: Elk Grove Village, Mount Prospect (plaza), Wheeling, and Lake Zurich.  

The Toy Drive will go from 10 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Nov. 9, and is dedicated to helping children in need. As part of this event, Walmart is also giving The Salvation Army the opportunity to “ring the bells” at its iconic red kettles, so we will be both collecting toys and ringing bells at kettles at participating locations on that day. 

In addition to the Wal-mart Supercenter in Mount Prospect, we will be at:
