Smiles Make the Greatest Gifts

How to give the gift of a smile

Through your continued support, we are able to come alongside families, singles, and seniors during the holidays when it can be extra difficult. This is often the time they are reminded that they can't afford gifts or a new coat for their kids. Remembering a loved one that has died can also bring a feeling of hopelessness during the holidays. The Salvation Army is giving people the opportunity to step up and make a difference in the lives of others who are in need.

How we help brighten the holidays

Red Kettle Campaign
Starting in November you will see the red kettles out at stores collecting money to support the many programs we offer year round as we serve the community through food pantries, financial assistance, youth programs, senior living, drug addiction, homelessness, and more. Volunteers can sign up to ring the bell to encourage others to give, knowing every time money is dropped in the bucket their donation is being used to continue the mission of The Salvation Army in our community. Sign up now to ring the bells at RegistertoRing.com, and choose your favorite location and available timeslots that work with your schedule.

Angel Tree

2018 Angel Tree registration is now closed. Click here for a list of additional resources for Christmas assistance.

By adopting an angel you can provide Christmas gifts to a child in need. Angels are placed around the city to make it easy for them to be adopted. We make sure that the gifts you provide are given to the Angel you selected. Angels are kids 12 and under who come from low-income families that struggle to make Christmas happen.

Kids Christmas Musical
Each year the youth practice songs and learn lines to perform in front of their parents, friends, and members of our community during the Christmas season. The kids look forward to shining in the spotlight, showing off their Christmas outfits or costumes, and showing everyone what they have learned. This is a fun experience for all involved.

Christmas Worship Service
Christmas is a time to spend with friends and family to share our love and appreciation for each other and for the gift of Jesus. Our church is a family! As brothers and sisters in Christ we gather together in celebration of Jesus' birthday and share in a time of inter-generational fellowship and worship. This service is family friendly and is held at our regular worship time on Sunday morning.

Senior Christmas Luncheon
Every Christmas the Older Adult Christmas Luncheon provides an opportunity for senior citizens to gather together around a dinner table creating moments of encouragement, laughter, support, and love. The holidays can be especially hard for those that have lost a loved one or does not live close to loved ones. By supporting the Older Adult Christmas Luncheon you are letting the seniors in the community know they are not forgotten and are loved in a time when they need it most.
