  1. I understand that The Salvation Army is a Christian church. As an adult program participant, or the parent or legal guardian of a youth program participant, I understand that Christian morals and Biblical values may be discussed and/or taught.
  2. I give my permission for The Salvation Army to use Participant photos in its programs for promotional purposes unless noted on the program registration form that the participant is a foster child. I understand that there will be no compensation for these photos.
  3. I hold harmless The Salvation Army from any claims arising out of or relating to any physical injury during the program(s).

  5. As an adult program participant, or the parent or legal guardian of the program Participant, I have ensured that the Participant understands and agrees to uphold the Community Center Programs Participant Code of Conduct and/or the Programs Participation Guidelines listed below.

Programs Participation Guidelines

COMMUNICATION: This is important!!! PLEASE

  1. Use good language.  SWEARING, TEASING, BULLYING and RACIAL SLURS will NOT be tolerated!
  2. Inform us: For the Thrive! Youth Night Program, let us know by Tuesday morning if you will not need a ride or you cannot come to activities. Gas is expensive and if you choose not to call when you cannot come, we will not stop at your house again until you call for a ride.
  3. Bring Problems to the Leaders: If there are any problems, please feel free to contact one of the Leaders. We are here to help you and we want our activities to be a positive influence in the lives of our participants.

INDOOR SAFETY:

  1. You are to WALK in the building except when involved in a gym activity that requires running or skipping.
  2. You are NOT to be in the kitchen unless you are with a Leader for a specific purpose.
  3. Items (donations) in the gym are not to be touched unless you are with a Leader and are helping put packages together.
  4. You are to be in the designated program area during program time! For your safety, we need to know where you are at all times when you are in our building.
  5. Cell phones must be turned off during programs.  Cell phones are a huge distraction! Please call, text, or email the Corps Officers, Program Director, Office Manager, or the Leaders if you need to speak to a participant during programs.

TRANSPORTATION SAFETY:
(for programs that offer transportation)

  1. Show RESPECT to the Drivers and Helpers on the vehicles.
  2. Booster Seats: If a participant still legally needs a booster seat or car seat, please provide one.
  3. Seatbelts will be worn at all times in the vehicles.
  4. One person to a seat in the vehicles.
  5. Stay seated once you get on the vehicle.
  6. Keep your hands to yourself!
  7. Use your indoor voice when you are in the vehicles. If the Driver has to remind you more than once to follow these rules, the Driver has the right to take away the privilege you have of free transportation to and from activities. First-time offense will be one week without transportation. Second-time offense will mean you find your own way to activities the rest of the year.

CONCLUSION:

The Salvation Army is a faith-based organization. All of our activities reflect our commitment to Christ and have a spiritual component. We invite anyone who does not have a church home to learn about faith in God by attending our Small Groups or Worship Service on Sunday mornings.

Our conduct should be pleasing to Christ. PLEASE be respectful and courteous to our leaders and each other and respect our property by helping us keep it in good shape so we can continue our programs in it. If you disrespect leaders and/or property you will be asked to leave if you are an adult participant, or your parents will be called if you are a youth participant and you will be taken home immediately. If there is a second offense the next week, you may have to take a week off from all activities as disrespect takes away the fun for everyone.
