A Thank-You To All of Our Giving Tuesday Now Donors
To all of our Giving Tuesday Now contributors, The Salvation Army Eastern Michigan Division would like to say THANK YOU! Because of your support, we can continue to provide help to the most vulnerable during the COVID-19 crisis. As of last week, we served over 300,000 meals and supported over 200 families with utility bills. That means our neighbors in need have food on the table and the lights on.
Every donation is crucial because The Salvation Army is facing a significant increase in emergency assistance needs for low-wage employees facing layoffs, limited hours, childcare challenges, and more. Thanks to our amazing donors, we are able to work hard on the frontlines to provide additional food, shelter and financial support to the underserved and vulnerable population of metro Detroit while ensuring the health and safety of the public. And thanks to our anonymous donor, your gifts were matched dollar for dollar. Combined with your generosity, the community came together to make a big impact across metro Detroit on Giving Tuesday Now.
