Flood Meals

The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit continues to assist those affected by the recent storms by providing meals to those tasked with cleaning up neighborhoods hardest hit by the by the record rainfall. 
Forgotten Harvest provided 600 sandwiches, pieces of fruit and snacks for The Salvation Army to distribute to partnering agencies cleaning up for people who can’t afford to pay for property restoration services or are physically incapable of doing it themselves. 
Since the rain began to fall, The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit’s Emergency Disaster Services (EDS) team has been on the ground providing meals and counseling to flood victims and first responders. The Salvation Army has been giving hope to those who lost so many of their personal belongings in the flood by providing victims with vouchers for furnishings, clothing and household necessities.
