The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit to Distribute Food Boxes to Detroit Families in Need

Apr 23, 2020

On Friday, April 24 starting at noon, The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit will distribute a second round of food boxes that will help feed families in need impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak. Volunteers will hand out prepackaged food boxes via a drive-thru distribution system at two Salvation Army locations in Detroit until 3 p.m. or until each location runs out of food boxes.

The food boxes contain enough nutrition to feed an adult for nearly seven days of meals. Households in need of food are encouraged to attend. There will be pre-screened staff/volunteers at the event, and all individuals will remain at a safe distance of six feet wearing masks and gloves.
