The Salvation Army of Eastern Michigan’s ability to raise vital funds to serve those in need is at risk this year due to the impact and economic hardships caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The Salvation Army is launching its Red Kettle fundraising campaign earlier than ever before to provide for people who may lack proper shelter or warm meals – or for families that might be choosing between things like paying rent or buying Christmas presents for their children. In a year with fewer Red Kettles, supporters can help Rescue Christmas throughout the 2020 Red Kettle Campaign by donating, participating in our virtual events, and volunteering their time.

Metro Detroit area volunteers will also be able to Watch for Good by donating their time as a virtual or in-person Red Kettle bell ringer. Enter to win an Apple or Android Smartwatch generously donated by a Salvation Army supporter. Volunteer as a bell ringer by selecting one of the options below. For a step-by-step guide on how to set up your virtual kettle, see our Virtual Kettle Toolkit.
