The Salvation Army's mission shines brightest at Christmas.

The Salvation Army celebrates the birth of Christ by spreading His hope, love and joy to less fortunate members of our community. In fact, our gift-giving programs and fundraising initiatives are a direct answer to God's calling to care for the poor, hungry, sick, and displaced. From physical needs such as grocery, utility and gift assistance, to emotional experiences including holiday events and traditions, to spiritual guidance that provides healing and hope, we work to assist the whole person through gifts that serve the body, mind and soul.

Our 2020 Angel Tree Toy Drive has kicked off! Businesses and organizations are invited to sign up to host an Angel Tree site and collect toys to help us brighten the holidays for families in need.  Your business or organization could also adopt a family and bless the entire family with a Christmas to remember. Please call 248-477-1153 to sign up.

Red Kettle Campaign

The Red Kettle Campaign is the Salvation Army's Biggest Fund Raiser of the Year.

Please Help us Rescue Christmas for families in need!

Throughout the Christmas season, there is one sound that can be heard above all of the hustle and the bustle. As The Salvation Army Bell rings, it reminds us of hope, redemption, and new life. It is hard to imagine Christmas without the sounds of these small, tin bells ringing.

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed much, including how we ring. With new bell ringer safety protocols and contactless giving options available, we are continuing our fundraising efforts so we can continue to serve the most vulnerable in our community.

We need your help, more than ever, to ensure that the sounds of the Christmas season include this familiar tone. We need your support to Rescue Christmas.

  • Remember to carry some cash to put in the buckets
  • The money you donated last year went to serve more then 2.5 million meals, give more then 105,000 Christmas gifts to children and Seniors plus give children a safe place to go to after school, summer camp and legal aid.
  • $.87 cents of every dollar donated goes back to the community.
