Flint is still known for being the basketball mecca of the world. Hosting the 50th anniversary of the largest 3 on 3 basketball tournament in the world puts the icing on the cake!

This will be the first time for The Salvation Army LIFE center to host such a huge event and everyone is super excited. We are expecting to have teams, spectators, players, and partnering organizations from all over to attend in celebration of the 50th gus macker world tour.

Linnell Jones McKenney, the executive director of The Salvation Army LIFE center and flint’s first female professional basketball hall-of-famer and world champion has played in many Gus Macker tournaments across the state.

Her quest to bring Gus Macker back to flint 3 years ago after a 20 year hiatus has been successful and has become the 3rd largest community event in the flint area.
