NAI Hanning & Bean Red Kettle Match

Dec 4, 2023

December is The Salvation Army's most important fundraising month, and this year donations to Red Kettles will be doubled thanks to local commercial real estate company NAI Hanning & Bean. For the next three weeks all cash donations made to Red Kettles on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday will be matched in an effort to encourage shoppers to give a little more in support of local Salvation Army ministries. The official Red Kettle match dates are December 7-9, 14-16, and 21-23.

Fort Wayne kettle a.jpgNAI Hanning & Bean is a long-time friend of The Salvation Army of Fort Wayne and has supported the organization's vital ministries for many years. Christmas assistance programs like Angel Tree brighten the holidays for Allen County residents, while year-round programs provide food, rent, and utility assistance when times are tough. This Red Kettle match will help to fund these and many other services to the community through 2024.

"Thanks to the support of NAI Hanning & Bean, gifts to the Fort Wayne Salvation Army’s iconic Red Kettles will be matched Thursday, Friday, and Saturday beginning December 7, 8 & 9 and continuing every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, ending on December 23," said Lt. Scott Smith of The Salvation Army of Fort Wayne. "That means a gift of $1 becomes $2, $5 becomes $10. The impact of your gifts are doubled! More hungry people will be fed, more kids will have something to open on Christmas morning, and more people going through hard times will experience God’s love. We’re so grateful for our close friends who believe in The Salvation Army’s mission to share the Good News of Jesus and serve our community."

As Christmas nears, many local residents are looking to The Salvation Army to help them make ends meet and provide a joyful Christmas for their family. Thanks to donations made to the Red Kettles in December, The Salvation Army is able to help those who are struggling in the community find hope for a better tomorrow.

Shoppers looking for a Red Kettle this weekend will find bell ringers at Walmart, Sam's Club, Kroger, Hobby Lobby, and JCPenney. Anyone interested in volunteering to ring a bell this holiday season is invited to visit RegisterToRing.com and find a location, date, and time that works for their schedule.
