The Salvation Army's Social Services Department administers the Comprehensive Emergency Assistance Program.  This program assists families and individuals with emergency needs for which there are no public forms of assistance.

Genesee County residents in crisis situations receive help with not only the emergency at hand, but support through the crisis and help managing resources in the future. 

Available services include:

  • Assistance with Utility Shut-off Notices Please call 810-232-2196 starting at 8:30am 

  • Assistance with Evictions/Foreclosures- Please call 810-232-2196 starting at noon

  • Seniors needing Assistance- Please call 810-232-2196 starting at 10:00am

  • Emergency Financial Assistance

  • Supplemental Food Assistance

  • Pathway of Hope

  • Bus Passes

  • Mentoring Services

  • Budget Counseling

  • Information & Referrals

  • Camps for Youth & Families

  • Seasonal Assistance (Thanksgiving & Christmas)
