We are pleased to announce that due to the generosity of the USA Territories and the California South Division and their commitment to ensure that this important ministry continues for years to come, all costs incurred during your stay in Southern California are now covered. We no longer require a fee and even the trip to Disneyland is now covered. The only expense is flights and National Headquarters will help with this cost by offering Airmiles to each US Territory. How those airmiles are distributed will be under the discretion of your Territorial Music Secretary.
Please note some important information below:
Application forms need to be submitted by Friday, October 29th, 2021.
2 musicians are invited from each Division, brass, percussion and timbrels.
If a division is unable to commit, other divisions can add additional musicians to fill the Territorial quota.
The minimum age for this group is 16 years old, however, if possible, we strongly recommend that participants are 18+. The reason for this is simple – it makes travel and supervision far easier.
COVID vaccinations are not mandated, but highly recommended. This is a residential camp, with many musicians from all over North America. Safety is our top priority and we will do our best to ensure that protocols are followed but protecting yourselves through vaccinations is recommended.
As mentioned, no fees will be required by the participants, including Disneyland.
It is essential that each young person has some marching experience and the ability to play their instrument for 5.5 miles.
This year we will once again be asking each timbrelist to send in an audition video.
Participants will arrive on December 28, 2021(before 2pm) and depart on January 2, 2022(before 2pm). Please book flights into LAX based on these times!
Territories will be required to send chaperones who will also march in the Parade, all expenses covered except flights.
