June First-Friday Dance
The next First-Friday Dance will take place at the new Salvation Army building addition in Grand Haven from 7:00-9:00 p.m. June 2, 2023. The dance is an outreach of The Salvation Army in the Tri Cities area. The live music for the evening is by Elvy Mobley and COOTS! Elvy Mobley is a blues and jazz vocal standout, originally from New Jersey. COOTS! is made up of some seasoned musicians: pianist Bill Huyge, drummer Tommy Davis, bassist Elgin Vines, and trumpet player David Schock.
The dance will be held in the newly built addition to The Salvation Army campus, 310 North DeSpelder. The entrance for the dance is on the east side (playground side) of the complex with plenty of easy parking.
The series of First Friday Dances is underwritten in part by The Village at Rosy Mound, The Village of the Pines, Pinewood Place, and Grand Pines, all parts of Heritage Senior Communities with headquarters in Grand Haven.
Now in its centenary year, The Salvation Army has been active in Grand Haven continuously since 1922 and works to help people with both the necessities of life and to enhance the quality of their lives. For more information call (616) 842-3380.
