Many of the elementary and middle school students who participate in our Youth Music School would not otherwise have access to this kind of instruction. Our Youth Music School provides unique, enriching experiences, offer the benefits of positive mentor relationships and expand the worlds of those enrolled.
Music brings joy to the world...and joy to kids.
Youth Music School
Thursdays, 6 p.m.
We invite kids of all ages, from elementary school through high school, to join us on Thursday evenings for our Youth Music School. Research shows that music education increases language development, improves spatial-temporal skills and test scores and can even increase the IQ scores of kids. We offer beginner and intermediate guitar, drums and piano lessons to help kids of all ages launch a lifelong love of music.
Vacation Bible School and Summer Camp
We also offer Vacation Bible School for youth during the summer, as well as the opportunity for kids to attend overnight camp at The Salvation Army Western Plains Camp in South Sioux City, which offers themed camps, including sports, music and outdoors camp, during June and July.
