The Salvation Army Team Emergency Radio Network (SATERN), a division of The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services, invites the public to attend a live, 24-hour long demonstration of amateur radio emergency capabilities on Saturday and Sunday in Mount Clemens. The weekend of June 22 - 23 is “National Field Day for Amateur Radio.”

  • WHEN:   2 p.m. Saturday, June 22 – 2 p.m. Sunday, June 23
  • WHERE:  The Mount Clemens Salvation Army Corps, 55 Church St., Mount Clemens, MI 48046
  • WHO:  The public can observe five radio stations making contacts with HAM operators in other states and countries.

SATERN provides emergency communication support to The Salvation Army wherever needed. SATERN volunteers help provide radio communication

in the aftermath of tornadoes, floods, hurricanes, fires, air disasters, bombings and earthquakes.
