The Salvation Army and Disney On Ice Band Together to Support Those Less Fortunate

March 15 red carpet event to benefit The SalvationArmy's Bed & Bread Program

Disney On IceAUBURNHILLS, Mich. - Disney On Ice presents Treasure Trove will partner with The SalvationArmy of Metro Detroit to host a special red carpet event prior to the 7:30 p.m.performance Thursday, March 15, at The Palace of Auburn Hills. From March14-18, the brand-new Disney On Ice show will highlight magical moments fromtreasured films each generation remembers.

DisneyOn Ice presents Treasure Trove is proud to support The Salvation Army's Junior Bedand Bread Club program as they work to teach children the value of charitablegiving and volunteerism. Two types of ticket packages will besold permitting entry into the pre-show VIP event on March 15 for TreasureTrove. A portionof ticket sales will benefit The Salvation Army's Bed & Bread Program,which serves nearly 5,000 meals to the hungry every day and provides shelter tonearly 500 homeless individuals each night across metro Detroit.

Coincidingwith The Salvation Army's Junior Bed & Bread Club's 15th anniversary, Disney On Ice will present 100 VIP passes to children from the metroDetroit school that has raised the most money for this program during the Club'sannual fundraiser. The winning school will be announced on Friday, Feb. 24during the 25th Annual Bed & Bread Club Radiothon airing live onNews/Talk WJR 760 from 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.

DisneyOn Ice presents Treasure Trove welcomes special guests from The SalvationArmy's Denby Center for Children & Family Services to this memorable nightout that is sure to appeal to all ages. Major Mark Anderson, general secretary and metro Detroitarea commander for The Salvation Army Eastern Michigan Division, will welcomethe crowd just before the show begins to discuss the importance of volunteerismand charity.
