The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit Welcomes New Members to Advisory Board
DETROIT, MI —: The Salvation Army of MetroDetroit has announced the addition of five new members to its Advisory Board.The board that boasts 49 members of the community now includes Dick Purtan, JanetHasson, Jack Aronson, Angela Cusmano and William Pettit.
As astrong supporter of The Salvation Army for more than two decades, Detroit radiolegend Dick Purtan's connections to the community run deep. He hosted The Salvation Army's annual Bed and Bread Club Radiothon for 23years, helping to raise almost $24 million for the nonprofit to date. Purtan is recognized nationally for his45-year career in radio. He andhis wife Gail reside in West Bloomfield.
JanetHasson is seniorvice president of audience development and strategy at the Detroit MediaPartnership and has worked in the media industry for more than 25 years. Sheresides in Birmingham with her family and remains an active community member ofher hometown and the city of Detroit.
Asfounder of Garden Fresh Gourmet, Jack Aronson knows the importance of givingback to a community that's allowed his Ferndale-based business to blossomnationally. Garden Fresh has given much support to The Salvation Army over theyears, including The Salvation Army Bed and Bread Club Radiothon. He and hiswife Annette reside in Bloomfield Hills.
Angela Cusmano isa partner and chief operating officer of Dahring | Zewe and Associates. Her investmentexpertise focuses on retirement planning for corporations and individuals. Sheand her husband Dan live in Plymouth.
WilliamPettit isdirector of supply chain management for DTE Energy. He joined the company in 2007 as director of fleet andfacility operations, following a 22-year career in the United States Militaryand a stint at Exelon Corporation as the director of new business engineeringand design. Pettit resides inRoyal Oak.
