Bringing Hope and Help in the Midst of COVID-19 to Beaumont Hospital

Apr 21, 2020

With a presence in almost every ZIP code in America, The Salvation Army is uniquely positioned to respond to the unique needs of people living in poverty. These challenges are exponentially magnified during times of crisis, including pandemics like coronavirus (COVID-19). Across the United States, we are stepping up to the challenge and continue to serve the most vulnerable populations in each community. This is just one of many stories of how we are meeting the needs of those who rely on The Salvation Army during difficult times.

The Salvation Army Farmington Hills Corps Community Center delivered 250 individually packed dinners to Beaumont Hospital in Farmington Hills on April 20. The amazing hospital staff were served chili, baked potato soup, and salad. Staff and volunteers from The Salvation Army made sure to thank the hospital staff for serving the community daily.

"It is a blessing to serve the heroes of Beaumont Hospital who have been working hard during this pandemic period," said Lieutenant Anil Kumar of the Farmington Hills Corps. "We want them to know that they are loved and prayed for."
