Livingston County Appreciation Dinner Celebrates Volunteers

Jun 2, 2022

The Livingston County Volunteer Appreciation Dinner was held on May 12, 2022, to recognize, celebrate, and show appreciation to their hardworking volunteers.

The evening included dinner, speeches from Nicole Moor, Development Director of Livingston County and David Yancho, Board Chair, and songs performed by Lts. Robert and Stephanie Leach.

Darlene Howard, Volunteer Coordinator of Livingston County announced the award winners for Volunteer of the Year for 2021; Barbara Thompson and Corporation of the Year- Armour Protective Services.

Barbara began volunteering for The Salvation Army of Livingston County in July of last year.  In just a short six months they had already volunteered over 153 hours.  So far in 2022, they have already given over 121 hours of their time in volunteer service.

In 2018 Armor Protective Packaging began raising money for The Salvation Army of Livingston County by organizing and conducting the largest car show in the community.  All proceeds from this event raised well over $150,000.00.  Each year the President of Armor Protective Packaging, David Yancho, along with the staff, raise additional funds through bell ringing, as well as volunteering their graphic designers, marketing, and design teams to help with programming and fundraising needs.

We congratulate those who were recognized and thank all volunteers who help The Salvation Army continue to serve those in need. We couldn’t do what we do without them.
