Schostak Brothers & Company Generously Supports Bed & Bread Club®

Sep 19, 2022

Jeffrey Schostak, president of Schostak Brothers & Company, arrived at The Salvation Army Detroit Harbor Light campus ready to serve the community. Joined by Lt. Colonel John Turner, Divisional Commander and Regional CEO of The Salvation Army Great Lakes Division, Jeffrey stepped on to the Bed & Bread Club® truck with driver Maurice to deliver nutritious meals to residents in need.

Each day our Bed & Bread Club® trucks make their way through Detroit, traveling multiple routes and making 60 stops to feed the hungry.

Schostak Brothers & Company, a privately held commercial and residential real estate company, generously donated $50,000 to support the Bed & Bread Club®, which supplies the metro Detroit area with food and shelter every day of the year. The donation is part of a larger community giving campaign in celebration of the company’s 100th anniversary. Over its course, $1 million will be distributed to impactful Detroit-based nonprofit organizations. Gift recipients are chosen based on their work in Detroit, along with opportunities for the company to get involved with their mission in a volunteer capacity.

“Our company is based in the city of Detroit, and to help the community [and] all these people who are in need, that’s something that is really important to us and really impactful. And obviously being in the restaurant business, we see something like this as a great thing,” Schostak said.
