Apr 17, 2020

On Friday, April 17 starting at 9 a.m. The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit will distribute 6,000 food boxes that will help feed families in need impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak. Volunteers will hand out prepackaged food boxes via a drive-thru distribution system at Salvation Army locations in Pontiac, Warren, Southfield and two locations in Detroit until 2 p.m. or until each location runs out of boxes.

The food boxes contain enough nutrition to feed an adult for seven days of meals. The number of boxes for a family will be based on family size. Households in need of food are encouraged to attend.  There will be pre-screened staff/volunteers at the event, and all individuals will remain at a safe distance of six feet wearing masks and gloves.
