Eligibility and Prize

Ring for Bling participants are eligible to receive one of six diamond and gold vertical bar pendant necklaces, donated by Lucido Fine Jewelers. Each necklace, designed by Lucido, is valued at $1,000.

The promotion is open to individuals – 16 years or older at time of registration – who both register for and fulfill a volunteer bell ringing shift at a storefront red kettle within metro Detroit for The Salvation Army Eastern Michigan Division during the 2019 Red Kettle Campaign. Eligible participants must register at www.RegisterToRing.com. 

Officers, employees and those officially affiliated with The Salvation Army, iHeartMedia or Lucido Fine Jewelry, as well as advertising and promotion agencies, subsidiaries, affiliates or other companies associated with the Ring for Bling promotion are not eligible. Additionally, immediate family members (including spouses, parents, siblings and children) of these groups are not eligible.

Agreement to Official Rules

Participation in the Ring for Bling promotion constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these official rules and the decisions of the sponsors which are final and binding. Receiving a necklace is contingent upon being compliant with these official rules and fulfilling all requirements set forth within.

Contest Period

The Ring for Bling promotion begins on Friday, November 8, 2019 at 9:00 AM and ends on Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at 8:00 PM.

How to Enter 

Register for volunteer bell ringing shift(s) at www.RegisterToRing.com and fulfill the shift(s) during the contest period.

Visit www.RegisterToRing.com and enter a zip code. On the next page, click the ‘Go’ button under the ‘Ringing with A Group?’ box on the top left. Click the ‘Find a Group’ box. Type in ‘Ring for Bling’ and click ‘Search,’ then the ‘Ring for Bling’ bar. Once Ring for Bling is selected, the user will be redirected to the Eastern Michigan Division page. The user can select a date, city, and location convenient for their schedule. The user will be prompted to create an account to complete the process.

To confirm a shift has been fulfilled, participants must print and complete the Ring for Bling form below and drop the completed hard copy form into the storefront kettle during the scheduled volunteer shift. Each shift fulfilled will result in one entry.

All entries become the property of The Salvation Army and will not be acknowledged or returned.

Prize Drawing

At the close of the contest period, the sponsors will select recipients in a random drawing from among all eligible entries collected from storefront kettles. The odds of being selected depend on the number of entries received, and there will be six prize recipients in all. Ring for Bling sponsors will attempt to notify the potential recipients via telephone or email prior to Friday, January 3, 2020, before the official announcement of all recipients made on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020. If a potential recipient cannot be contacted within four days of the first attempt to contact him/her, the sponsors may select an alternate potential recipient in his/her place at random from the remaining eligible entries.
