The Salvation Army of Greater Green Bay remains committed to Doing The Most Good for our neighbors in need, especially now as we respond to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. After taking into consideration all of the federal, state and local guidelines, our Greater Green Bay locations are making adjustments to our programs and services. See the list below for current adjustments to our daily activities and information on how you can receive assistance if needed. This page will be updated as changes are made.

Green Bay Corps Community Center:

  • Noon Lunch Program - Served from 11:30am to 12:30pm outside of the Corps Community Center on the Union Court/West side of the building. Free to the public. Anyone in need can walk up or drive-thru and receive a meal to go.

  • Pantry Program - Distributing groceries outside of the Corps Community Center on the Union Court/West side of the building. Please drive through at your scheduled pantry pick-up time and a staff member or volunteer will assist you. To try and minimize contact, remain in your vehicle until after staff has delivered the cart of groceries to your car and stepped away. It is then safe to exit the vehicle and load your groceries.

**If you are not currently scheduled to receive pantry services but are in need of groceries and would like to sign up, please call our Social Services Office at 920-593-2379.**

If you are looking to support the Pantry Program, a monetary donation is always welcome or our current in-kind needs are:
  • Mac & Cheese
  • Canned Soup
  • Canned Fruit
  • Canned Ravioli
  • Jelly
  • Pancake Mix
  • Syrup
  • Instant Oatmeal
  • Crackers
  • Granola Bars

Pantry items can also be purchased from the comfort of your home and shipped directly to us from our Walmart Registry For Good. Check it out here!

  • Shower Program - Suspended until further notice.

  • Rent and Utility Assistance - Please call 920-593-2379 to schedule an appointment with a case worker. Appointments will be conducted by phone and not in-person until further notice.

  • Transitional Housing - Our transitional housing team is still operating and our case workers are conducting phone appointments. If necessary, they will be conducting home visits, but calling ahead of time to make sure no one is ill. We will provide pantry to our transitional housing clients by letting them know we are making a delivery and leaving it at the door.

  • Worship Services and Spiritual Care - Wednesday night programming and Sunday worship services are SUSPENDED until further notice. Updates will be provided on this page and on Facebook. You can follow Sunday services live on our Facebook group.

Let us pray for you! Our officers would love to receive your prayer requests and are available to provide spiritual and emotional support.  Submit prayer requests here.

  • Senior Programs - All senior programming has been SUSPENDED until the Governor's Safer-at-Home order has been lifted. (Health conditions and government recommendations will be evaluated at that point to determine if an extension needs to be made.)

  • Community Events and Gym Rentals are SUSPENDED until further notice.

How to help:

Make an online donation - Money donated online will be directed to The Salvation Army location that is closest to your billing zip code. Donate here.

Mail a check - Donations designated to the COVID-19 response should have "CV19HelpWUM" marked in the check memo. Checks can be mailed to: The Salvation Army, 626 Union Court, Green Bay, WI  54303.

Help re-stock the pantry - To make it easier to follow the Safer-at-Home order, we have set up an online registry with Walmart's Registry for Good program. Shop a list of needed pantry item right form your home, and it will be shipped right to the pantry located at our Corps Community Center. Click here to view registry.

We don't want to encourage leaving your home to go shop for donations, but if you choose to help in this manner, in-kind donations can be dropped off at 626 Union Court. To avoid contact, you can leave the donation in the box located at the Union Court Main Entrance.
